Are the Golf and SE badge on my golf just glued on or does it require some bodywork if i want a debadge?

Im not taking it off to leave holes thats all lol.

mine were stuck on.

i just pulled mine off the and with alot of scrubbing removed the leftover sticky bits!

Yep just stuck on (was on my gti anyway) but as said will leave the backing on the car,so ull need to get some white spirit or something similar to get the sticky stuff off,then give it a coat of polish and ull never know they where on there. :smiley:

Use a bit of fishing line and work it behind the badge, then use meths to clean up as required.

i used t-cut to clean up where the badge had been. . works a treat!  :smiley:

With my old Escort, it was a case of warming it up with a heat gun to losen the glue. Then get behind it with an old credit card (or loyalty card/gift card etc.) The plastic card will help protect against scratches. When you have got all the glue you can off, a good going over with t-cut or similar will get rid of the last bits. Can take a while tho, but you will have the cleanest patch on your car ;) (well, I did. I had to do the whole boot to match :D )
