so what way round have you got the filter?

have you got the open end of the filter cone pointing towards or away from the MAF?

cheers!

Not quite sure what you mean by the open end, but IIRC, the end with the black rubber/plastic rounded bit in the centre, is now facing the MAF.  :afro:

Really could do with a picture here, but I can't be ringed to take the filter back off!!  :D

Always thought the pointy top of the filter for want of a better way of putting it would be facing away from MAF :undecided:

That's exactly what I thought, so that's the way I fitted it to start with, but me & my mate were looking at his R32 BMC one day, & that looked like it was 'reversed' inside, so I thought I'd try it with mine.  It seemed to pull more sharply & 'cleaner' with the 'small' end facing the MAF, so I've left it that way for now.  :afro:

There you go then.. bring your old graph with you if you still have it. Don't think you've been down since they moved into the new unit? It's a lot easier to find!

No, not been to the new place - Been meaning to pop down for a while, now, to get the old Custom Code map back on (purely for comparison purposes - Nowt wrong with the R-Tech Spec 2, BTW)!  Would that be an option after the RR on Nick's map?  :P

p.s.  Just hope there's no grumpy old man giving me grief about parking this time, lol!!  :D

p.p.s.  Do you know if there are any Mk4 R32 Pipercross panel filters in stock, please?  Could pick one up for my mate if you had.  ;)
