Too tall for the seats...

I have a little issue that I think I can solve but need to ask if it'll work.

Basically I only just fit into the car lol...got the seat in the lowest position and my head still touches the roof. Being a German car you'd have thought it would cater well for tall people lol 

I'm pretty sure I read that I can fit corrado seats as the sub frame fits. Also heard that the corrado seats are a little lower? Is this correct? This would hopefully give me a little more head room lol

Only thing is that I like the material that I currently have on the seats so....would it be possible to transfer the foam and covering from my GTi seats onto the lower corrado sub frames?

If i cant do this i'd like to fit the rear corrado bench as well to get everything matching, does it fit no probs?

Basically:

1. Do corrado front seats fit?
2. Are the corrado seats lower than mk2 ones?
3. Can the mk2 gti trim be transferred to the corrado sub frames and still sit lower?
4. Does the corrado rear bench fit?

If anyone here could advise it'd be much appreciated

4 yes if you weld in the corrado bench brackets or make a frame to attach rado bench to mk2 hard points

And I run Rado seats in my trackcar as they're much lower. Proabably the best 80's seat VW produced. Much more supportive and comforatble than the golf ones.

you can move the seat back another 'click' if you drill out the last hole on the rail that usually holds the sprung adjusting pin and bolt it through the mount. only drawback is its not quickly adjustable. im guessing if your heads hitting the ceiling your legs are a bit cramped as well

I had corrado seats in my mk2 before I got my leathers and bassically u sit on the floor pan when in the lowest position.

Just retrim them yourself, it's time consuming but not too hard.  A pair of front scirocco seats I did a while ago, just need to make a rearbench I like the look of now.

Going to make a Recaro headrest for them as I like the shape of them rather than the thin standard type. Just need to take a mould of the Recaro headrest first.





Also, I think that the Toledo reabench fits straight in (1991 - 1999) as the Toledo was built around the MK2 Chassis.  Two types:

some scirocco seats can be had in MK2 patterns, I've seen them in the red/black stripe pattern, look nicer then the MK2 seats as well

Mate that looks bloomin awesome. Did you do that all yourself? Any idea how long it took? Does the black show dirt quite easily?
