Thought I'd post a small update. Car seems to have settled down a tad recently now I've put a few hundred miles on the new cylinder head. Changed the plugs which seems to have helped with the popping on downshifts etc.
I'm rather happy as of today though, as I've picked up the wheels I've always wanted for the mk2, even before I got one
You can keep your RS's; I think these are like RA's on steroids! Enough dish without being silly, look factory, and are a fraction of the daft cost of RS's.
I couldn't afford them, they are a bit ropey and could do with a refurb, but they are mine and were an absolute STEAL. The question is what to do with them? Straight forward refurb in silver, maybe anthracite grey? To be put on the back burner for now but I doubt I can resist a trial fit tomorrow!
