Nothing wrong with that to me. Looks good.

GTI mk6, 3dr Manual (Yes Manual! If I wanted a Taxi I'd hail one, not spend £1500 on one), Candy White, Full Leather, Xenons, ACC, 18", RCD510 + Dynaudio, DAB Radio, Winter Pack, Luxury Pack, Fiscon Bluetooth Plus, Golf R LED's.

Looks good to me too.  Any more would be flashy.

How does it sound?  Isn't that the main thing?

I dont really know why you get a 310 on the GTI and a 510 standard on the rocco. Get yourelf an RCD 510 from ebay and sell your one on their. Probably be an outlay of £300 if you want a touch screen colour display? Depends if you think its worth it?!

Will be orderin a 510,but it as me concerned which to buy, coz when you adjust the climate control the stereo displays stuff, wud this feature work with any 510???

The blue screen annoys me when the dials are white, seems like an after thought by VW.

Sounds from my Mk 5 310 where better but this unit does give you more info using your ipod, where the old style wud show Track 1.

Got to admit that the 510 does look nicer than the 310.  Yes I know it doesnt do much more but I am glad I went for this upgrade
Tornado Red 5 door GTI, DSG, Monza Shadows, Lux Pack, RCD510, Park Assist & FT indicator

I'm really surprised the GTI doesn't get the 510 as standard in the UK, it does here in France and VW France aren't normally that generous on standard equipment. I would definitely have upgraded, as the blue colour of the 'old' 310 doesn't match the white illumination on the new VWs. You can pick up 510s on the German eBay quite easily.

Poo is a little harsh, but yes I prefer the looks of the 510

What I find scandalous is the cost of sat nav!   I'm sticking to my trusty tomtom.

Mk6 Golf GTI 5dr, DBP, Monza Shadow, Xenons, ACC, RCD510, Park Assist, Camera, Lux pack.... and now bluetooth.... and now DSG!

I'm sticking to my trusty Road Atlas of Great Britain, augmented by a printout of my destinaton from streetmap.co.uk.  Seems to encourage me to keep my eyes on the road a lot better....

Just had my 310 upgraded to the 510 (goodwill gesture from vw and the garage) and all the climate features work on it and to my ear sounds better even though the speakers are the same (no scientific basis for this)
