mmmm, big wheels  :drool:. Loading the car up with 300kg of cement only lowers the back - tried that   :laugh:

Another mod I have discovered whilst browsing a German forum is to replace your tailgate gas dampers with ones from a Skoda:

Gasdruckdämpfer p/n: 6YO 827 550 C

They are identical in shape/size/fittings to the Golf but have a slightly higher preload and will push the tailgate open when you pop it with the remote. Handy if you're at Tescos, parked far away from the door (thanks to the mums/kids/differently-abled), your hands are full of shopping and it's pouring with rain.

Good idea until your tailgate hits the lighting of your garage or other obstacles since it opens up higher than the roof of the car...

Just read a reply on another forum that says UK dealers have a bulletin to say there is some minor changes from build week 46.

Would lights be classed as a minor change ? I'm not so sure. Ok its no Engine change or Brakes, but its still a fairly important part of the car to change, is it not ?

used to have that on my old saloon car.

prob not safe to be standard on a golf hatchback.
Mk6 Golf GTI 5dr, DBP, Monza Shadow, Xenons, ACC, RCD510, Park Assist, Camera, Lux pack.... and now bluetooth.... and now DSG!
