A faulty Passenger seat sensor was my first warranty job back in 2006

Does the alarm relate to the driver or passenger side?

Loyal owner since 2005, done with remapping, I drive a Golf not a Veyron. (hypocrite)

Have you placed something on the front passenger seat - IME anything above about 5kg will trigger it...

Almost definitely the passenger seat

You can change this through VAGCOM so that it only "bongs" once you reach 10mph, rather than as soon as the ignition is turned on. I did this and also set the door autolock function to come on at the same time/speed

Same here although I have turned off the bong completely. Auto lock is good BUT Im thinking about taking it off as I let the car run for 20 odd seconds the doors wont unlock until I take the keys out and people have almost yanked the handle off trying to get out the car not realising you have to pull it twice if its still locked  :undecided:
