Windscreen scuttle panel seal
« on: 10 July 2009, 21:14 »
Mine is starting to lift up, and look mega worn?

Are these replaced with the windscreen? Or can it be done seperatly?

Worried its getting water down there, which isnt going to be good im sure.

What can i do?

Part of the windscreen seal from memory, your best bet is to try a local glass company and see if they can replace it.

If this is the actual plastic scuttle panel cover thingy you're on about then I'll check the condition of the one on the TDI..

Cheers ace. So both of those parts are needed? If so I might get it new from dealer, along with having a new screen fitted I reckon. Cheers :)

as said - both parts are needed

check to see if it comes with the clips too... like overgrown plastic screws... don't put old faded ones in with your new scuttle panel

while you are there check your wiper nut covers and replace them at the same time if they have gone grey... cost is minimal but they won't stand out then against the nice black panel
