VAGCOM Help
« on: 08 July 2009, 21:11 »
Hi All,

I need some help both the EPC and the exhaust light are on  and I need to know what is up. Should I take it to VW straight away or can anyone with a VAGCOM in reading/slough area help?

Any suggestions greatly received, getting a little worried...

If there is no one local look for a VAG specialist garage in your area and take it to them for a diagnostics. VW will pull your pants down on price.

Have you had any joy?

I had exactly the same lights on mine (and still have in fact, but it doesn't effect the drive aledgedly).

It is a memory fault in the ECU in my case, which means a new ECU (£££ouch). Apparently only VW can fit new ECU's as they need to be online to reprogram keys etc??? Not sure if that's the case, I'll do some digging.

Fingers crossed yours is a cheaper fix bud.
