will i still keep my guards

hi guys going to put annivarsary valence on front and rear off my mk4 my car currently has mud flaps all round that i want to keep on they keep my car in great shape will putting the valence on affect them

yes you only have to ditch the fronts if you have anni aideskirts

I kept my front and rears on for the winter. The rears go on with little problem. the fronts look a bit naff and drag on the road making horrible scrapping sounds. You could try cutting them to fit if you wanted to, but I ended up just ripping them off. I've got pics I can dig out if I get the chance.

the rears will need some trimming to make them fit properly - a job which i need to do myself but i don't fancy hacking into my limited edition white logo'd mud flaps  :tongue:

I was literally just coming on to ask what peoples opinions were about mudguards.

Picking up a MK4 at the weekend and i cant decide whether to keep them on or take them off?!?!

when i had my rear valance fitted teh flaps wouldnt fit back on so now im not bothering with them at the back

sharp stanley knife can be used to trim them  :wink:

cheers guys so the holes where the screws go through and attach on the car are the same just need to trim the bottom so they dont scrape on the road??

might need to make new holes - i know the rears don't line up anyway even without the Anni valence  :sad:

mine are just clipped in between the bumper and the liner - the screws keep falling out  :angry:

the fronts i would think you cut where the skirts protrude - the height of the flaps doesn't change
