When I put my anni kit on I put the mudflaps on temporarily and they just slipped on as normal (albeit a bit stretched at the back to get round a bigger valance). The front ones obviously wouldn't fit without cutting and shaping, otherwise they will sit about an inch lower. I slapped them on anyway for a month or so, but didn't try to trim because they are fairly sort-after original mudflaps:
If I wanted to put them on permanently I would buy aftermarket ones and cut them to fit. The front ones can also be fitted
in front
of the skirt, and not over/around it.

I'd like to fit my fronts again with my anni skirts, I like the look of the Golfs with the mudguards
