« on: 05 July 2009, 20:18 »
Much difference in tuning abilities/reliability in the engines? There isnt too much difference in the insurance prices for me, so i'm open to either one now!

You're going to get 100% of the replies all saying either:

a)  1.8T
b)  neither, get a TDI

You can't really tune the V5 at all, the 1.8T is definitely the better choice.

never driven a v5 to comment, you need to test drive both to see what you like.

If you do go for the V5, make sure it's the 170 ps version as opposed to the 150. ;)

1.8T or TDI 150, much more tweakable if you wanted.
