cheers mate, did the carbon air intake you got on yours make much difference to the power?

Its too hard to tell to be honest, not a great deal, the problem is the remap is sucha a clear difference in power with just one change that its harder to notice the smaller ones, no doubt they all add up .  Looks and sounds nice though, also helps the car to breath better with the larger turbo downpipe and Milltek cat (MUCH less restrictive and benefits the CAI)

Well, she ran 240bhp and 265lbp/ft at the R-Tech RR. TBH though It feels a bit more than that and I was expecting a bit more, at a stab in the dark Id say 250-260bhp. It feels mighty quick and pulls hard and I am realllllly happy with it.

The R-Tech remap gave a power curve as smooth as a babys arse. I cant find the print out but will dig it up when at home later this evening.

Nope, shes got more than enough poke. I'm a strong believer that there is only so much power you can throw through the front wheels of a car and I think I'm almost there. The MK5 chassis is good, but I cant get my head around people that run 300+ on standard stuff without the need to then add MORE money on suspension and anti-roll bar and bigger brakes, it can easily turn into A LOT of money. My engine will remain how it is now as I think its prefect for me :)

Next is new wheels and tyres which requires lots more saving :( lol

You seriously need to take my car for a spin Alan

300+ bhp is easily containable. I've just taken my neighbour and a mate out for the first time in mine and they simply were staggered at how fast it accellerates, brakes, turns etc and how easily it did it.

Yes, yes, I know I've spent a fair bit on it, but like you say, a tuned car needs balance between power, handling and braking modifications.
