Swapping Heads!!

Hey all! 

I was wondering if the cylinder heads from the various 2.0 8v engines were interchangeable?

I can see no reason myself as to why say an ady wouldnt fit an agg or visa versa but I have noticed that there are at least two different inlet manifolds accross the range. I wasn't sure if this would effect compatibility. 

So can they swap?

the head should be ok but if the inlet mani is diffrent you would need to use the correct one, and remember than each engine had a diffrent injection system which requires the correct inlet plenum chamber etc.. so that would need to match up.   Otherwise i think they fit ok.

Also cold you put a 16V head on a 8v? I heard it somewere a while back on ED38.

I would think no, the basic engine has a lot of changes.

for starter the valves would hit the pistons. Would need notched pistons like the 16v has.
