Having ordered a mk6 gti was wondering how good the alarm/imobilser is ?

Cars don`t seem to get nicked so much thease days,was wondering how well protected a mk6 gti is ?(AFTER READING THE INSURANCE TOPIC ON THIS BOARD )

Wouldnt worry about the Cat or Alarm, both will be pretty good as standard.

One neat feature, is that the car wont start until you put your foot on the clutch. It's to help with the starter motor ticking over and fuel economy.

Because when you turn your car over it uses fuel, the more you turn it over it uses additional fuel. That wasted fuel stays in liquid form rather than vapour = more fuel being used. In the past and I'm sure still to this day, some people can flood their engine if a car turns over and doesnt ignite.

Wouldn't it have been easier to say thanks, rather than try and be a smart arse ?

Being as you did`nt answer the question with any more than the obvious and followed with some useless info about pressing the clutch which most people do because they leave the car in gear,i did`nt feel a thank you was needed. ,I`ve noticed this about you kev your very quick to jump down peoples throats.

The alarm and immobiliser will hold its own. Its the keys you got to worry about
