if u can arrange something on the cheapola then i'd be game, not too bothered if I lost to a 8v... make me take it to the garage for a tune up though!!!  ;)
couple of practice runs needed as well I think, most racing Ive ever done is on dual carriageways, keeping it in 2nd waiting for them to try and come past you and leaving them for dust (mg ZT anyone?  ;)) hardly standing start racing!

I'd be up for winning ;D? I raced some 8v's at the pod and consistantly opened can's of whoopass all over em!!

Right i'm gonna give some local air fields and tracks a call tomorrow.. anyone know of any good deals etc where we could go.. Seems people are interested and would pay to turn up to have a little fun..

Yeah i reckon I would be up for racing the valver against some 8v's, my housemate has got an 8v and im always beating him!!

I think they are - but if we could sort something it would be a good giggle !

I was quite shocked @ some of the rolling road figures from the AMD day with stock 8v's out doing 16v's. As Vix said there's alot more to this than figures quoted by VW for power output, not everyone's will be well mantained or 100% standard ... So lets sort something out !!!

Imagine though - all this talk and then there's a few upsets? ;D

(Gav where are you matey - I'm still waiting for a go at the G60? ;D )


yes i remember that day quite well! to say i was happy was an understatement! and i got a crack in my downpipe! 4 branch here i come!
