Mk4 is for sale mate, had to get the new one before I could sell the old one. It won't go pink  i'll keep on top of polishing it. Interior is literally mint which was why i bought it really, and should have all the skirts, splitter and rear painted by the end of july 


Not sure on show's mate, being down in Devon it's a right old trek, whats coming up anyway haven't been keeping an eye out like that? See how it goes!!

1 thing though, i've never seen those holes in the fog grille's, are they stone chip damage? oddly symmetrical if they are

re: bumper hole's, there definatly supposed to be there, what for i don't know  i thought maybe to divert cool air into the brakes? No idea. Was going to get the open grilles until I realised only half of them are open... Don't really see the point

Those open holes are only found on the very early GTI's (like mine as well).  VW stopped doing them like pretty quickly.  No one seems to know why...

ah right. ye i saw the open ones. i guess the bit which is left "closed" is there to hide the uglies like the fog light brakets and cables, just a guess

but back on topic, looks great, jelous mine doesn't have an I ion the end lol

Just dropped the misses off to work, hence the early post. Car return 35mpg which consist's of 30 zone's, 40's and a bit of dual carrigeway cruising at about 80mph.

Pleased with that, the old mk4 would be nearer 25mpg 

Still need to replace the PCV valve too, so may get a little better after that!
