I've being told that theres no point putting a chipped ECU onmy 8v golf. Would like to know what everyon esle thinks?

important word there was R-Tech. A reputable mapping company. Not just a cheapo run of the mill chip of ebay. ;)

ive got one but still yet to go on the car. I have however, been told they smooth out the power delivery ALOT and will give better MPG if driven sensibly and also a couple of horses. From what I heard of people using them, worth the £30 you spend on ebay for it.

I have no first hand experience with these but I know some of the eBay chips on offer create their power gain by tricking the ecu into over fueling!

This obviously isn't all too good for the car or your mpg!
