Around £250 from GSF or £450+ from the dealers  :lipsrsealed:
I often wonder why people never expect sarcastic comments from me - they're the only reason I speak...

£468 for Sachs friction plate and pressure plate - good for 400lbs ft torque
£200 for new flywheel
£200 labour
£40 new release bearing

IMO experience get the most decent flywheel you can afford as mines shot already  :lipsrsealed:  or at least i think it is  :undecided:

Man up and get a remap. You're only around once.

All I ever seem to read about is how amazing the car feels after a remap. Then, after a few months it's "I think my clutch has started to slip" or "my flywheel's buggered" or "I've got a boost leak somewhere", or "my crankshaft has melted"....it just doesn't seem worth it in the long run IMO. If the Golf was meant to be as is after a remap, it would've come out the showroom like it. Each to their own.
