I say good for him, imagine having a golf gti at 19! At the end of the day if 19 year old footballers can get insurance on the cars they buy there's no real need to check prices before buying the gti at his age, as long as money isn't a huge issue.

Full no claims, driving 20 years, first company i tried £220 fully comp on my new gti mk6 due in aug, there are some perks to being 30 something.

£220 ? I highly doubt that unless you have something silly like a £800 excess.

I'm 35 and have been driving almost 20 years with 13 years NCB and get £380-ish with I think £250 excess.
Thats unlike you to doubt something, have you actually brought a mk6 yet kev or are you still dreaming ?, norwhich union(aviva) 220 fully comp like i said,Perhaps i live in a better area than you ?,i also have another car a vw touran 2 ltr fsi insured with them and household insurance,I have no reason to lie,it will be a second car doing less than 4 k miles a year,i`ve saved the quote, obviously i`m not going to post my details online.(by the way if your 35 and you`ve been driving 20 years that`s probably the problem, 35 - 20 = 15 ? past you driving test very young :smug: :smug: :smug:

If you don't mind your premium being high, I'd be happy to insure you via my own company, "Bob's Insurance", for only £25,000 a year, with tiny £25,000 excess

I remember when I was 19, I had a BMW, and was given insurance quotes the likes of £1,700 TPFT!   Needless to say I sold it and got stuck with a Hyundai Accent for a few years to build up my no claims.  When I was 21 I got myself a C2 VTS instead, definitely quick, and by the time I came to sell it my insurance was only £288 a year fully comp!!

Anyone heard of sabre insurance they have quoted me 3400 best one so far =)

I was looking at that website to see if they would quote me but they are closed at the moment. Found a website
www.quotezone.co.uk
that quotes for sabre and alot of other random companies i have not heard of and most of them quoted for me so you may get some luck on there. Previous to this i had only found 2 companies to insure me, this website quoted over 30 for me.
