maybe i am getting old but I cannot see the point in spending a wedge of cash making a slow car look fast. You will only get found out at the lights and wished you had not bothered.

My advice. Save your money and when you can afford to insure a 'proper' hot hatch you'll have the money to afford it as well. When i was a nipper i had a 1.2 nova and i was happy with that!

Dont do it. Theres a guy where i lived (on the isle of wight) with a kitted up mk5 (non gti) he has spent about £12k on the body/look of it and its sooo slow! He could have bought an insured a much better car for the cash.

I bought a saxo vtr at 18 and waited for my NCB to build up then bought a type r at 20, you could get a mk5 gti for the same as i paid for the ctr back then now so my advise is to wait

I'm not particularly interested in speed, more looks at the minute, the thing about this mod is that its very rare, I've emailed them to see how many are in the UK to see but I imagine its a handful.

It also comes with an exhaust upgrade and an option to have it chipped there too.

VW only made one car, I still think it is pointless, but its your choice.

Theyve chucked out 7 and have sold 20 kits.

They say in broken in english what I think mean the kit price is being lowered to €4K and that it is easy enough for a mechanic to fit.

They also say no cars that they are aware of are in the UK.

And reassuringly those beauiful white leather seats are €300 a pair, so at least I'll have a bit of W12.
