W12 Body Kits
« on: 15 June 2009, 20:00 »
Looking into this as I adore the W12 body but as it isn't available and insurance when your 18 wouldn't bear thinking about (£15K for ed30!) and the fact its not in production.

http://www.exclusivetuningworldwide.com/english/m_golfw12.html

Anyone got one? I know a lot of car mechanics and may Contemplate the €5k package for parts only but it mentions tailoring the tailgate which sounds like a big job so migh be best left to them at €11K.

No doubt would add value to a used mk5 available from £5K up. They rekon it will add more than what the add on's cost so upwards of £15 grand.

19" a must, looks stupid without them.

I think its a good idea for me as removin depreciation would be invaluable in this day and age.

Appeciate Thoughts. and especially anyone with one.

Also any one know where I can get the VW covers for the standard black Monzas on an Ed30?

2 weeks to complete? Seems not that long tbh, considering the work involved, the respray, and then the exhaust etc.

Haha add more value than it costs!

How does that work then, surely any sensible person would just get them to do it on another car ... for less.

Plus you will limit your market for potential buyers to anyone under the age of 20

Personally not a fan.. at all. Only a car with a rediculous engine could get away with styling like that, but if you like it then that's all that counts. Would sooner put the 11k towards insurance on an ED30 though if it were me.

At the end of the day I'd only get part of the insurance for 1 year. With this I have a car that does look very sporty, is One (ish) of a kind. It's just a lot of money to spend on a car if your not long past your test. A mark5 is a very nice car to be having at that stage.

Has anyone ever seen one of these in the wild so to speak?

And of course if im not happy with a 1.6/1.4 theres always chips for that.

Ed30's £21K new and hold their value reasonably well.

if you think you will add value putting this kit on your car, then you are deluded.

I agree....even with £11k+ of mods it still only worth what a normal golf is (maybe little more to the right person! but mod's like this don't add anything value wise! look on "other" forums for the cars with £15k of mods and there either silly priced or same as a std car
