4 different types of pads for my car??

Okay i did some ringing around saturday on getting some new front pads for my car!, apperentely they are up to 4 different types! so the only way is to take the pad off to show them, well i need my car to get to them, will vw dealers know the right pads for my car?

You mean 4 different fitting types..? or 4 different pad compound types ?  and yes your VW dealer should what type for sure..so long as you have the correct details for them and providing your not running completely different/aftermarket leg and hub setup.

First find if it has 280 or 288mm discs and then see if it has a wear indicator...match accordingly

yea your probably right! thats why I wanna do it myself but im doubting myself becouse i dont know waht the caliper piston is? or what it looks like

when you see te caliper piston you will know what it is. Although, when it comes to brakes, unless you know EXACTLY what your doing i wouldnt do it unsupervised by someone that does know. If they fail, your fcuked big time.
