hottuning coilovers mk4
« on: 12 June 2009, 21:24 »
iam looking to get a set for my motor and i have sent my paypal address but have not heard anything .... i need these asap and have £££ waiting and need them on to get my m.o.t re-test done as i had a problem with my pas side front strut .

i have seen a set on ebay for £170 delivered there not "hottuning" but "no1tunning"  the descriptions are nearly the same was thinking of going ahead with a set of these as i can pay there and then via paypal and then i know they will be on there way to me early next week..

should i wait or go ahead with the ebay ones... has nebody got these ebay ones fron no1tunning ???

I'm in the same position.

I get home in about 2 weeks time (so I will have a drive and a garage - currently on the side of a road - EUGH!)

Will be watching this space for a reply from someone who has used them!

Good luck!

Jack

if im being honest i brought a set of hottuning ones for my mk4 and wasnt very impressed with them as they didnt fit as good as i hoped. a friend of mine is running them but had to modify a few parts to get them fitted right. i ended buying some fk's and they fit perfect with know trouble. i'd say to anyone that there better off spending abit extra and get some better coilovers but thats just my opinion bud

I read that somewhere else about the hottunning coilovers, they do say you get what you pay for, also read about fk not giving a very good ride but i think that was on a different Mk, i am personally going to get springs and adjustable shocks as i can't see the point in me getting coilovers as they will get set once and left at that.

 im gutted ..........

Fk's are quite a bit more expensive. Dont loose hope, they might fit ok. Most the mk3 boys run cheap collies and dont have any probs.
