thermo time switch

hi can any one tell me i have a mk1 golf gti 1800 1983 A redge, on ther thermo time switch in the top of the coolent pipe it has 2 wires that go to it can any one tell me what wire gos to wot pole because i havent got the block connector that gos to it. one wire is white and green the other is red and black   [-_-] this is sort of wot it looks like :wink: the line at the bottom is it bit that sticks out so you cant put the connector on the wrong way round. thanx ian

red/black goes to pin G, wht/grn goes to pin W if the switch has pin numbers on? if not I'll look later.

right if you look at the thermotime switch from above with the sticky out peg bit at the bottom, the red/black wire goes to the right hand pin :)
