ok ok , but with the EFI in the 8v work with 16v lump (not 2.0 but a 1.8 16v from a mk2), donT want to be faffing about fitting old injection
Do try and concentrate when you're reading our responses - we're suggesting using Digifant3 from the Golf3 16V - far better and more efficient than either the Digifant2 on the 8V Golf2, or the donkey-style K-Jet injection on the Golf2 16V.
Insert your Golf3 engine, gearbox, loom and ECU into your Golf2 and away you go - no need for a catalytic converter, bang on a tubular manifold and you'll be knocking on the door of 170bhp from the stock motor in next to no time.
And, unlike the second generation MR-2 (featured pirouetting on the cover of CAR Magazine when launched), it'll handle out of the box.
