1.8 Turbo hesitating

I have a 1.8T fitted in a mk2 Golf. However when warm and only warm it will hesitate and stutter. This will happen at a constant speed and revs and also under acceleration. The exhaust will also pop on lift off shortly after the stuttering.

Any clues on the source of the problem?

Check the mk4 maintenance & info section for common faults. Likely culprits for your problem are temp sender and maf sensor.
