Flushing coolant
« on: 31 May 2009, 09:42 »
Planning on flushing the coolant today. Did a search but couldnt manage to find if there is a screw on the radiator that drains the coolant?

Failing that gonna have to remove the pincer clip attaching the hose to the rad.

I think it's as simple as that mate, just detach the hose from the bottom of the rad.

Drained it today, went to refil it with some g12++ (no idea what was in there before), and only put in about 3l before it was totally full. I don't think I may have got all the old coolant out. How bad is this? And for next time, should I run the car after I drained it to get the last bits out?

think you have to take the stat out to drain it completely.
always good to run a hose through it to get all the crap out the head and radiator
