hello again ,just wondering if any one has tim pressure gauges fitted to there cars mine had three (volts ,oil ,temp) not connected up got the volts sorted , now trying to sort out the other two ,have bought the correct sender units for them plus the t-piece .my first question is have i fitted this correctly ie tim oil temp gauge  sender unit into t-piece, than orignal temp unit screwed into t-piece as well, than screwed into oil cooler housing orignal wire is yellow on the temp unit .my next question wher do i fit the tim water temp sender unit i know i have to remove one but which one,and do i have to piggy back the wires to make both tim and mfa temp work, pics if poss thanks in advance .car is a mk2 16v on a h plate.ps sorry for the essay .max

gauges are like the vdo ones but these are made by tim im assuming principles are the same mine are tim 034 4 oil pressure with sender tim 097 .temp pressure 035 with sender tim 099 ,t-piece i bought is a lma 050 ,hope tis makes sense now

Tim are just cheap gauges (no offense to the OP), do a search on google for the manufacturers website if your struggling but what you have written sounds about right although the water temperature one may need a t-piece as well if the sender is calibrated differently to the stock one. Have you tried using the stock temperature sender?

nice one (DOA) have piggy backed my temp(TIM) gauge to stock one for now and seems to give a vauge reading compared to clocks gauge so another t-piece (and the tim sender) does seem way to go. oil one seems to be doing its job about 10 degrees out form mfa reading think i can live with that ,bit hairy today at 110 degrees but going down to 102(mfa reading) on a motorway but search says engine running about right can any one confirm this for me please for a 16v.max
