Fitting front strut brace

hello all,

have searched and searched the forums but can't find a fitting guide! - how should the brace be fitted? - with the bent towards to windscreen or towards the front end?

okay great,

now then, what about the locking nuts where the bar meets the 'circle' (for lack of a better word!) - should they be tight?

It was delivered this morning without instruction so want to be sure i'm doing it right - ebay item number  350161829807

sorry to hijack, is it worth putting strut braces on? does it make a real difference?

yh it does help the chassis from flexing when n under strain. they do work, most jap cars have them factory fitted.

front lower is the best for a golf ive been told!!! top struts can sometimes create the frontend to be too rigid and understeer a lot

How true is this?

My top struts on my lowered golf in my opinion have made the handling spot on! Goes round corners like its on rails with very little roll at all. Just my opinion but strut braces are one of those things you have to make your own mind up on. Some people love them and can't praise them enough where as others say they achieve nothing. Just give them a go my friend and let us know what you think.

Going to say that on a mk3 it is a bit pointless to fit a lower one due to the subframe.
