I'm gunna get a panel filter, not sure which one tho.... but does it sound alot nicer?? p.s. why would u drill your box? would it then allow crap to get in..

all performance panels will be the same so get whatever you want, drilling allows the air in faster and makes it sound much better.(as for letting crap in, a cone filter is completely open to crap....)

looks sick them holes lol, I will get a panel filter just not sure bout them holes, the idea of a filter is to stop sh!te getting in, but with the holes drilled, whats the point of a filter at all, you'l draw all sorts of crap in. hmmmm

now now lol.... just checked my box, the air inlet pipe is at the top, so ok i agree it will stop the crap from goin through, i knew that, but as your drilling at the bottom (ie under the filter) crap can still get in through them holes? right? just confirm i'm wrong and i'll do it when i get the panel filter.

yes the crap will come through the hole but......

air goes in through holes - then through air filter - (clean air) goes through to engine.

sorted, now go do it!

ps. khare, that pipercross filter looks badass!!

Wouldn't be fun if it was easy, but does it have to be this much fun?

Sound level increases obviously vary massively depending on how much of the LOWER section you remove, experiment with if by drilling a few smallish halls on the lower wing side of the airbox and increase until you're satisfied with how it sounds.
As for allowing extra crap into the sytem this shouldn't ever become an issue if you're only drilled the lower section as this is before the actual airfilter. Just make sure you don't drill the upper section of the airbox unless you liek you engine breathing pure dirt!
