BIG Master Cylinder
« on: 23 May 2009, 00:21 »
hi there, just wondering if ne1 could help with this? im upgrading my 8v brakes to 280mm wiv Audi S2 twin pots i already have got a new 22mm master cylinder but have just seen in an old Golf+ mag that there r VW 24mm master cylinders on coraddo and passats with ABS. does ne1 know if the 24mm master cylinder from the coraddo or passat would fit a 90spec 8v servo? i know you can use the 16v/G60 22mm master cylinders but not sure if these ones fit. ne1 know bout this?

golf 3 abs has 23.5  mm i think,

i'm going for seat cordoba  whitch is 23.5mm but ali and 0.6kg lighter    both cyls require modifying brake lines at cylinder end for bigger unions
all the VW's have gone bar 1.

you can cut tbhe flare offf and put the other union on and reflare the steel line if you have a gd tool and some luck.   but tbh just replace them it's easyer
