Lowering.. What springs??

Basically one of my springs popped out of place yesterday  , so i need a new one got quoted about £100 to have a new one fitted so i've decided to just get 4 new springs and lower the car.

Can anyone tell me some ideal springs to get, i've had a look on ebay and seen some jamex springs, are they any good?
Oh and how low should i go? I want it looking good but no rubbing at all with a full car. Will have 17" wheels on the car aswell if that helps.

I believe Eibach is the way to go, advisable to do shocks at the same time

well i orderd some 35mm jamex springs, i'll see how they go. i got told any lower than 40mm on 17's will rub.

No they wont 
Lower than 40mm and the anti roll bar may rub on the drive shaft

I did mine recently, 35mm no probs. jamex set off ebay I paid £60 then a few days later jamie16v got them for £52! delivered.

yep, i`ve fitted them now too, did exactly what it said on the box. well worth the price.. if i could have afforded uprated dampers too i would have done that but cash wernt permitting at the time..
bargain in my opinion!. i doubt you`ll find springs cheaper.
