Aerial Problem
« on: 19 May 2009, 21:37 »
I have just installed a Alpine CDE-9881R but the aerial does not fit, can any one help or advise?

Issue number 2, does anyone know how to wire up the electric aerial?

You will need either -

http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/aerial-adaptor-p-210.html?cadid=hse9og47ihqs6ebnbs4sefbgc2

or

http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/aerial-adaptor-p-4054.html

Option one looks good

But what does this mean on there website?

"Aerial adaptor converts original aerial on VW & Vauxhall vehicles to standard aerial plug.

IF YOU ARE USING ON VW OR SEAT THEN YOU WILL ALSO REQUIRE E118 AERIAL ADAPTOR"

Nah mine is actually a windscreen mounted aerial, that has the silver long pin at the end, that goes into the long black bit of that adaptor and the circular bit goes to the headunit :)

Not a bad price either at £1.99 delivered :) I paid £6 for mine :( from Halfrauds lol!
