Car lost power??
« on: 19 May 2009, 14:17 »
For lunch today i decided to take a trip to the better halfs for a bit of lunch . . jumped in the car and noticed a lack of power, when i put my foot down it was like the car was back to standard (its re-mapped) and i couldnt hear the turbo hardly at all.

Then on returning to work it was back to normal with full power all fine?? i do no that my MAF sensor is messing around and im getting a new one this friday, but would this of caused the drop in power?

 Im a bit confused

GTI me up !!!

Soudsn like that maf being intermitant.

You will prob have a fault code 16486 for the maf which would be good to check if you have vag com. The car will reduce the power due to not knowing the correct intake

Might be worth cleaning the throttle housing
