But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.

Sorry to drag up an old thread but I'm having the same problem with 5th gear and would like to check the aforementioned plastic linkage but need pointing in the right direction as to where abouts I can find it. If someone had a picture I would really appreciate it.
