Best Components in a MK2

  No stereo in my 91 Goof at the moment , I have a Sony 4 x 45w Headunit to go in , So asking what speakers i could pop straight in existing Mr VW speaker holes . Dont want to cut my shelf or have anything on show really going for the OEM type look , Any advice or links greatly appreciated ,

     Saw some Alpine 5inch door speakers with crossovers and tweaters for £100 not sure tho

your h/u will be 4x45 watts MAX
its true rms power will realistically be around 4x8-12 watts
so when buying new speakers don't just go buying 100 rms speakers for example as you will be way underpowering them and risk burning out the coils on the speakers
look at something with around 20-30 rms power handling or alternatively fit an amp to give more power to a good set of components

i fitted a set of these pioneers in a mk2 a while back

they were running off the h/u (not ideal)and they sounded very good indeed very clear vocals
you could also try some infinity components like these

personnaly id go with the pioneers infinity are ok but can sound very harse and tinny because of the country of origin pioneers seem to be a good all round speaker and not as hars.
