Ah, white mk2's are sooooo cool!

Gonna be at Stonor Nickles?

It better be, already 9 months overdue from when I wanted to get it finished!

Ha, you're not alone on this one, but then who on here really ever sets realistic deadlines?

Well I was clearly optermistic with my initial thoughts on how long the jobs would take and then more stuff cropped us as I pulled it apart.

I have a trackday booked for May so must be built, taxed and tested by then but I'm hoping for mid March so I can make the first of this years AutoSolos. I've had to be realistic though and decided that getting it running an ABF this year is unlikely due to funds and time. That's been pushed back to winter 2013/14 unless some miracle occurs and I shall keep nursing the tired and abused 8v lump for this year.

Me and Lizzie are off to the Spa 6 Hours Clasic car race weekend in September and I'm hoping to take this on the road trip to Belgium. Should be fun but Lizzie is already moaning about how uncomfortable and noisey it'll be.

Fibreglass roof collected yesterday from LWS Designs. A top couple of chaps making very good products. The roof is work of fibreglass art and not your usual ton of matting with gaps you could drive a bus through etc.

Anyhoo, here it is placed on the car un-trimmed:

It's a bout 1.5mm thick as can be seen here:

The underside shows how it's made from a big sheet of glassfibre weave so even the inside has a nice uniform finish to it:

The back end (it needed pulling back a bit, it does actually fit perfectly) and the quality of the gel coat finish:

Got trimming and tried a short section of the gutter trim back on to make sure it would fit without me having to take mor eof the roof back. It does fit. Result:

Front corner (Trim not actually put in properly, just draped):

All trimmed up and ready to be bonded on:

I just need to prep the shell and buy the sealant and we're good to go!

Nick, are you planning on spraying the inside of the shell?

That looks pukka.

Nearly bought a pair of wings a while back but wasn't sure if it was worth doing.
