I was hoping to take it to an Auto Solo in mid september but that's looking a bit unlikely unless it passes easily.

Nick

What class was you going to run in? I thought you had to retain the original interior to qualify to compete in Auto Solo. Or do they have a specials category.

Spot on. Me and Mark will be running in Class F which is for specials or highly modified road cars. No chance of picking up any silverware but should still be a chuckle.

Well yesterday was a result.Baffled sump and windage tray fitted:

Had to trim a bit more off the baffles to clear the pick up pipe but it's all on, filled with oil and pressures seem to be OK. I suspect there's still small bits of plastic floating around so I plan on dropping the sump off again in a months time and checking the pick up pipe again.

Today I need to fit my upgraded headlight loom and tidy up the car, clean it and double check everything works for the MOT on Tuesday morning.

Mark (Veedubgti16v) made them for me from a template and his mate Si welded them in for me.

Uprated headlight loom all fitted and working. Well impressed with it TBH. £35 delivered and it's been made to a very high standard.

Just gotta clear it out and give it a wash and tidy and it's all set for Tuesday morning.

All set. How bad do we reckon the fail list will be?
