Yeah as in 1:34, 1:35, 1:36 etc.

That is depressing.

i didn't do much better, best was 1:30.6, so the astra diesel would have beaten me as well on a flyer

When I go back next month I'm gonna save the camera batteries for hte afternoon sessions and then try and find myself some space for clear laps. You watched the vid of my Dad driving? You come flying past us up to Tower!

After advice from Dave @ Combe I have purchased a new steering wheel.

Why?
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

The current one is just too small, making small movements snatchy.

300mm shirt button removed (with the aid of a drill!!!!) and deep dish 350mm fitted. Feels much better but the column would benefit from coming down about an Inch. That'll be a job for this weekend then!

Pics to follow.

Column now dropped by 2cm and the driving position with the new dished wheel feels superb. I'll take it out for a test in a bit and see if I can find any ST's to upset.

How do you lower the column nick? Im guessing you space it down and use longer (shear) bolts?

Mine has been lowered i think as the 300mm wheel is almost on my legs and the top of the wheel obscures most of the speedo  :undecided:

I don't think a semi will give the same results
