You and DH didn't have a go in each others cars then?

Nah - we kept winding up out on the track at the same time.  Also it takes me that long to get round that we'd have had to stop halfway round so Nick could have a fag.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Right so after relaxing from friday and having a clear head I have a list of things I would like to do to improve myself and the car.

* Foot rest for my clutch foot
* Get the camber set up for -1.5 deg on the front
* Some better shoes (Actual shoes not tyres!).
* Bigger steering wheel, the 280mm Momo is just too small.
* Get rid of more weight from inside the car.
* Fix the heaters so it blows more air on the screen.

Overall I was massively pleased with how the car behaved all day, it was a joy to drive and never felt like it was not enjoying the abuse. My dad kept saying "This is such a great little car" inbetween his manic grins and chuckling. The brakes were stong and fadeless all day and I was surprised how well the Yokos held up once the track had dried out. Will certainly be cracking out the R888's on the 25th weather permitting.

You have G60 Brakes? They will help a huge amount Nick.

It's running a 16v set up with grooved discs, mintex extreme pads and halfords race fluid. Never had a problem with them all day. We'll see how they cope on a few more days but right now I have no plans to change them.

combes quite a fast circuit as they go so if the brakes are fine there they should be fine most places! tbh though the braking point takes a hell of a long time to to master so you might be wanting better brakes in a year or so!

Is the steering wheel a momo team? if it is there worth like 80-100 quid at least! scene tax added of course

cool stuff nick. car sounds well good for the money. all money saved getting a bargain there can be used for more track days then!

as for brakes. the 16v setup is 256 right? when you need new discs, grab a set of g60's instead and some mk3 gti 280 calipers and carriers, braided lines and should be awesomeness :)
