hi i have poped over from the mk4 section to ask about the mk3 vr6 golf.

so wot do you think of the car as a whole? iam thinking of selling me gti t and get my self one, i have allways wanted one. :wink:

i have been looking around and they dont seem to cost much at all seen a few that have a few mods for around £1100-£1500 .

Heavy on fuel plus the timing chains can and will need changing but a great car and engine.

hi i sold my vr6 bought a gti t 2001 aum what a load of -hit  now i have another vr6 its the sound the look the grunt try one :laugh:

iam am really thinking of getting one,  but iam goin down to look at a astra coupe 2.0l turbo 2morrow 51 plate, 52k on clock . bloke intrested in a straight swap for my golf.   but im not sure ......

bought one about 3 weeks ago. black highline, 94000 on the clock 1300 quid.  Having a few water problems, but don't care too much because i'm loving the drive.  Has an awesome engine sound too.

Mine is a black highline as well. Love it. No major problems, fuel economy not bad( i don't care anyway).
Needs a gearbox mount, but that is the only thing since july last year.

Good engine, rest of the car is not so good.
