I'd rather them in cloth.  Leather ages too quickly and you slip too much round the twistys.

....Agreed 100%. However, many people won't agree and insist on percieving leather as luxury. But then you only have to ask yourself why more hardcore bucket seats are finished in Alicantara which offers even more grip.

By the way, you can still get new covers for both Mk5 GTI and R32 special VW Recaros.

They are similar to, if not the same as, the Audi special factory option Recaros too.

There the same as the audi ones as they are recaro cs models. They use the CS as a base and work on them.

You dont slip in the leather ones, they hold you too tightly

....Only if you've got a fat arse!

My point on the CS ones though as that they are not exactly the same and without the VW spec, they will look aftermarket.

Now now Robin, what happened to all the ETTO, IMO, hail marys etc etc you used to have all over your posts...someones getting cranky in their old age

....Actually someone got cranky with me because of my regular use of ETTO, IMO, etc! I consequently decided that it was perhaps something that everyone would take for granted but it seems not. Can't please everybody!

So, my apologies - Please understand that my posted comments were/are all IMO with a dash of ETTO :afro:

Cheers!

Ha ha no you can never please everyone,  I did kindov assume that the ETTO's would stand (Each To Their Own) but newer members wouldn't know of your generally easygoing nature...

Actually I imagined something had happened to you, like that time in Neighbours when Harold had amnsesia and became an offensive party animal rather than the mild mannered shop keeper....

I have a strange imagination  :undecided:
