Using the Audi shroud looks look. Guess that's always an option.

Also i was wondering where to put my cig lighter (if i kept it at all) and you've answered that question for me :D

Just read your guide to installing your gauges and moving the cig lighter. Its amazing! Gonna make my life a whole lot easier :)

Sorry to bother again. I've read all the articles on this and i know its done to death so you must excuse me because i cant find anything on this.

Gauges got delivered today and they look good (although they did forget the temperature sender!) cant wait to get them in when i get that.

The gauges come with loads of wiring on the back of them. The loom on it is bloomin complicated, changes colour all over the place and its quite hard to follow (can tell its going to be hard wiring either way).

Question is did people use this loom or take it off and wire it all themselves?

Thanks

Depends on the length of the loom doesn't it? Using a continuity tester will test you what wire is what.

Well what a weekend! After a small mishap (big pool of oil in the middle of the drive because the t piece just wasn't tight enough) the gauges are in! The look amazing. Didn't have a dremmel so it took some doing aswell. Some points it resorted to a wood chisel and hammer!

Quick question though. What sort of pressure should i be looking at. Mine sits at about 4 all the time. Moving a little bit either way but not too much. That about right?

Here's how they look.

And here's where i decided to put the cig lighter.

Only thing now is the gauges glow red and so does the radio but the dash glows green. That sort of thing bugs me so my next job is replacing some bulbs!

My oil pressure sits at 4 ish when cold then drops down to about 1.5 once warm.
I also fitted the cig lighter in that area as yours but am now running a votex centre consol which made life abit easier.

I need to get around fitting the oil temp though. Nice work

When the oil is cold on mine, around 5 bar at idle - then when it is at running temp, about 1.5 bar at idle.

At motorway speed at running temp, its 3-4 bar.

Looks like a nice install - but you put them in the wrong order

Not been on the motorway but I had a good run round yesterday and it stayed pretty much on 4 bar. Only moving a nats hair above or below. This sound normal or is maybe the gauge or sender faulty? I say them because the car works perfectly.
