Urgent Advice needed?!!!

Hello all

I am currently putting a new headunit and sub and amp in to my mk4 golf.  Just in need of a bit of quick advice if poss!  I have bought the booster amplifier thing for the fm radio but I need to wire it into my loom, am I right in thinking it just goes on the wire labelled system remote, the same one as the amplifier for my sub will go on?!

i take it you have a kenwood h/u by the way you say system remote
if thats the case DO NOT connect to that as that is blue/yellow and is for steering wheel controls
you need to connect it to the amp remote (blue/white) from the h/u there are 2 of them connect it to either of those

Thanks for that, its a pioneer h/u and is the blue and white which is labelled as system remote so I will put both the sub amp remote and the booster onto this bit I guess, cheers!

What wires does the booster have? The remote cable only has a very small current. All it does is tells the amps to turn on. It doesn't power them!

If the booster requires an external power source, you'll need to take it off the ignition live or something similier.

the booster only requires a minimal current input and the remote out is designed to accomodate these

Thats great thanks, just done it and all seems fine although when I fiddle with stuff on the headunit there is some poppin through sub, I know u get interference from power cable sometime but I have layed the rcas and remote one side of the car and power the other so thought should be ok!
