Ok I've been doing alot of reseach on Remapping and the only options open to me are ' Bluefin or Revo '  sorry R-Tech I'm too far for u guys..

Any pros/cons between them ?

Bluefin at the moment ( for me ) seems to tick the correct boxes - I like the idea of returning to standard map if things go wrong down the line,  and when I sell later on I can say it never been chipped/remapped

Before I go for it,  I'll be doing, smooth airbox, pipercross panel filter and forge 007p  so I can make to most of it...

Which one ?  is one more likely to feck my flywheel/clutch over the other ?

Thanks lads

i think R-Tech have a contact up near you who would be able to map your car

as for which map will feck up your clutch - both will over a period of time; its enivitable and will mainly depend on your driving style

Get R-Tech to do it, even if they have to come to you, they're cheaper as well

You can always pop down to star performance?
http://www.starperformance.co.uk/contact.htm

I have sent a few customers there way and all of them have been over the moon.

Or you can send your ECU to us for bench remap session.

Cheers lads,  thanks for that..

I'm still at the planing stage at the moment ( more like planing my finances lol )

So Ben,  I take it you don't fancy a trip up over the border then   don't blame you bud..

I'll keep Star Performance in mind - bit on the expensive side though ( quality costs eh )

Thanks again..

Hello,

We can only come to Scotland if there are group booking of a few cars at one time as we wouldhave to have a night out in a B&B due to the 12hours driving.

R-Tech,   If you do get enough numbers to come up to Scotland,  give me a shout ( hopefully have the cash then )...  You lads have a good rep so I'd prefer one of you lot to map it....

On another note...  Regarding high chance of clutch/flywheel fecking after remap ;

Been thinking this one over a bit,  now my car is the 150bhp AGU, after a remap I'm looking at 185>190bhp max....
Here's the question is the clutch/fywheel on my AGU not the same as an early 180bhp GTi ?
If so then it should handle a remap without problems,  not much difference between 180bhp and 185+.....

Or is it the torque that buggers it up ?

Thanks lads...
