Is it supposed to really foam up???

I used it for the first time this past weekend. Although it washed the car fine, it didnt foam up like a 'shampoo'.......

yes... i use it with the pressure washer to fill the bucket and 5ml produces more foam than water

if you're filling the bucket of suds by tap then vigourously agitate the water as you fill it

you won't need more than 5ml (teaspoon)

Guys right - I fill from the tap and you need to give it a damn good thrashing to get the suds going (probably because of how concentrated the soap is), but once you've done that you get loads of lovely slippery suds!!  I use a clean paintbrush to really whip it up.

yes I did fill by tap - next time I'll use the garden hose on the spray setting, which should mix it up nicely as thats pretty forceful.
Thanks.

You don't need to go after lots of suds to clean the car - you just need to make sure it's adequately mixed. I always pour the shampoo into the bucket first and then fill it with water. Usually enough to get an adequate mix.

That makes complete sense, whereas idiot here did it the other way round and wondered why it still looked like plain water! lol
How embarrassed I am right now! rofl!

If you watch some detailing videos, there are professionals out there who put the shampoo in after filling the bucket with water. They then gently agitate the water.

Like I said, you're not after suds, just a good mix of the shampoo and water.

I think suds help if your washing a fairly dirty car, e.g. if you haven't pressure washed it first, as the foam will help lift dirt off and keep it away from the bodywork.

True but that's why I wash the car two or three times over. Regardless, I put the shampoo in the bucket first and get loads of suds. Plus DJ BTBM produces lots of suds and is very slick too.
