BMW only charge £675 for them on the 3 series and they are standard on the Coupe. WTF???? The GTI ones as far as I can tell are not adaptive either  On the Leon they are £852 WITH AFS...VW are having a laugh

*EDIT* the Mkvi xenons are adaptive acording to the price list.

Hmm, I will need to speak to my stealer tommorrow as he said that the xenons are not adaptable.  I do a lot of driving on the continent.

I drive alot on country roads at night, and took the gti home which doesnt have xenons. tbh there isnt that much difference.. once your main beam is on, they are virtually the same. ok the quality of the light differs somewhat but lots of people have changed bulbs and reported massive differences..

new bulbs here i come

The fewer Xenons in the country the better.  The most selfish option to tick in the world....   You might see a little bit more, but every other fecker in front of you will go blind and be distracted by the bouncing jittery light show.

Erm, the only xenons which dazzle you with the 'bouncing jittery light show' will be the highly illegal aftermarket retro-fits!

Proper factory fit xenons, provided they are correctly adjusted, will not dazzle, and 99% of the time, will not bounce and jitter.  There is only one scenario when they will, but then generally, oncoming traffic is obscured anyway.

TagnuT meant that he didn't think the lights swiveled around corners (which they do on the Mk6, as he subsequently editied in his post).

For driving on the continent, you will need to take it to the stealers, and get them to set the lights to 'tourist mode', and then turn it off when you get back.  If you are a regular channel hopper, then investing in a vag-com could save in the long run.
