Idle to high (changed maf)

Well after having the vag com and keep getting code 16486 i decided to change the maf as this was what seemed to be the problem. After £80 it still has not changed my issues. The car will idle at 1000rpm and i have very little boost, the vacuum reads at -12psi and this should be at -020psi at idle

Does anyone have any clue what this could be as no more codes from vag com

You mean the vacuum hosde on top of the dv. The boost and recirc hoses are very tight and not split, there brand new forge ones. Geting the feeling it might be the n75 ? what you think rich

I wouldn't have said so as it shouldn't cause the vaccume to be down

Which 1.8T - AGU?

Yes mate its the agu engine !!! Checked all the intake pipe now and thats fine, only thing that i can change which might make a difference is the vacuum hose on the dv. I changed that to 3mm accidently but was told that it shouldnt make a difference. Will be putting it back to 4mm tomorrow as i have ordered a replacement

agree with rich here i have had problem with mine a couple of times and i got a code up with vag-com at the weekend so went and fitted some different pipe to the top of the dv and has defo made an improvement  got my loss of boost back

Why you ask if its agu

Well i was thinking ignition amplifier that the AGU has.

I would try the pipe first if no joy try a TB clean.

Then look into the ignition amplifier

I did the throttle body clean last week as a measure of trying to eliminate the problems. The ignition shouldnt affect the boost should it ?

Just been told that the actuator on the golf is onlymade to boost to 1 bar and if exceeded for a long time can break
