not trying to rub salt in your wounds at all mate just wanting to advise people incase they become unlucky enough to go through what you have and still are and my only advice to everyone on here is call your insurance and get your no claims bonus protected thats what ive done it cost me around £50 extra but worth every penny when you can make 3 claims in 2 years and it wont affect your premium can you really afford not to have this protection? think you got to have 4 years or more no claims bonus to do this though ive got 5 my self am 24 and my insurance is £597 on my 2006 gti full comp + protection for me and my missus who is 22, hope this advice helps someone one day, MATT

Cool, sounds good,

RE the car, really sorry to hear about it, to be honest if my car ever got stolen i would hope the scroats wrote it off (hopefully causing themselves a lot of pain in the process), i wouldnt want a car i knew someone (else ) has thrashed back, but i do have GAP and NCP so i guess it is a little different,

Hope it all gets sorted OK for you,

RE te guy who bought a GTi for 7500 from a layby, as much as i feel sorry for him, cant help but think he may have had it coming, pretty obvious that was a bit too cheap, think i'll stick to Stealers, even if they do screw you!

Absolutely fine mate, no probs, they only drove it for approx 15-20 miles.
I was very lucky.
